- 01Exfoliate first. Apply to clean, dry skin.
- 02Pull on the BGE Sock before you start — Clear leaves no guide colour to bleed into the white cuff, so the Sock Test reveal stays sharp.
- 03Sweep onto a velvet mitt and blend in long, smooth motions from ankle to thigh.
- 04Go light on hands, feet, knees and elbows. These spots love to overdo it.
- 05Rinse after 1 hour for a soft glow, 2 for golden bronze, 3 for deeper colour. Colour keeps developing after rinsing.
- 06Moisturise daily to stretch the glow. Wash hands after every use.

That's the window the formula needs to develop into the colour on the bottle. Rinse cold, pat dry, do not towel-rub. Colour keeps developing for ~8 hours after rinsing.

Pink vs Clear. The original 1HR Express is pink — the guide colour shows you exactly where you've applied, which is why first-time tanners love it. The Clear skips the guide colour entirely. No instant bronze, no pink transfer onto white clothes. Built for repeat tanners who already know their pattern and don't need the visual cue.
Especially well. Because there's no guide colour, nothing bleeds into the white sock cuff while you wait — the Sock Test line at the ankle stays clean and the reveal is sharper than ever. Pull the sock on before you apply, leave both on while it develops, peel after rinsing.
Yes. One hour gives you a soft, natural-looking glow. Two hours = golden medium bronze. Three hours = a deeper, richer finish. Your colour keeps developing after you rinse, so don't judge it the second you step out of the shower.
Wash them thoroughly with soap straight after applying — especially between the fingers and around the nail beds. Use the mitt on the backs of your hands at the very end with whatever product is left on it, blending out from the wrist. Same rule for knees, elbows and feet: go sparingly, blend it out.
